LiFePO4 Battery

Metal Air Battery Vs.Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery

Unlike the other lithium ion batteries, LiFePO4 have a very constant discharge. The constant discharge allows the battery to full power until it is fully discharged. The LiFePO4 battery provides a constant voltage of 3.2V. When 4 cells are placed in series, it provides a voltage of 12.8V that comes close to a six cell Lead acid battery. This property of LiFePO4 makes it a perfect replacement for lead acid battery in automotive and solar applications. The use of phosphates ensures low cost and safe disposal of the battery as compared to the cobalt.
